Nubian Productions and the Universal Federation for the Preservation of Hip-Hop Culture present the 31st anniversary of the Universal Zulu Nation: a tribute to the founding fathers of funk (James Brown, Sly Stone and George Clinton) and the founding fathers of hip-hop culture (Afrika Bambaataa, Kool DJ Herc and Grandmaster Flash).
This anniversary is dedicated to DJ Leacy and Matthew Hall, as well as Richie Perez, Rick James and all of the pioneers and legends who have passed away but whose contributions to the culture live on.

Friday, Nov. 12: Zulu Nation Throwdown, 8 p.m.–4 a.m.
The Manhattan Center, 311 W. 34th St. (between Eighth & Ninth)
$10 w/ flyer before 12 a.m. $25 general admission.
Hosts: GrandMaster Caz and Queen Lisa Lee
Performances begin @ 9 p.m .sharp featuring (in no particular order): the Fearless Four, Jadakiss, Fonda Rae, K-7/TKA, the Crash Crew, Sharon Brown, Immortal Technique, King Kamonzi, Wanda Dee, MVP feat.
