Early next month, a music maker’s dream comes true as CEO, Sean Anderson opens the doors to NYC Sound Lab in the prime locale of Union Square. Think music production meets gym membership, and you will understand the concept behind this revolutionary musical playground.
In the era of independent music making, this do-it-yourself studio is the next logical step. Equipped with all of the hottest toys on the market, the Sound Lab comes fully stocked with a mass of sound gear that sprawls an entire floor. Starving artists everywhere will feel like kiddies on Christmas morning as they emerge to play among these audio production goodies. At NYC Sound Lab, musicians are granted access to equipment they wouldn’t normally encounter (without ever actually having to buy it) via a monthly membership.
Manufacturers of the best equipment worldwide have partnered with Sound Lab to ensure their state-of-the-art capabilities will be on site to be test driven and mastered by the music production prodigies of tomorrow. All of the industry staples will be on hand: MPCs, digital workstations, Reason, Pro Tools, etc. And what if you don’t know how to use all of these bells & whistles? NYC Sound Lab offers its members an audio production school, aka Beat School, to teach you.
