JADAKISS NAMED ARTIST OF THE YEAR AT MIXTAPE AWARDS

P. Diddy, Remy Martin, The Game, Swizz Beatz, Pitbull, Pete Rock, Common, Rah Digga, Kwame and Just Blaze were among those who came out to represent the 'hood at the Mixtape Awards in Manhattan March 9.
They all got to see the streets give Jadakiss another two nods of approval as Justo Faison held his annual awards ceremony at the B.B. King Blues Club & Grill. Kiss, D-Block's proverbial pounder of instrumentals, won in two of the major categories: Best Mixtape of the Year for The Champ Is Here and Mixtape Artist of the Year.
Jada's victory in the latter category wrests the award from the hands of the G-Unit, whose 50 Cent and Lloyd Banks won that category the last two ceremonies.
On the DJ side, the love for Green Lantern's projects was prevalent. Besides the award for his work on The Champ Is Here (Big Mike worked on that mixtape as well), he won Best Mixtape DJ, Best Mixtape Duo for his multiple endeavors with Big Mike, and Best Mixtape Producer.
P. Diddy was honored with the Mixtape Top Executive & Lifetime Achievement Award.
