Aug. 4-5: Beastie Boys, Wu-Tang, LCD, Deep Dish Play Virgin Festival

The second annual Virgin Festival by Virgin Mobile is set to take place Saturday, Aug. 4 and Sunday, Aug. 5 at the historic Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore, MD. The two-day festival features a world-class list of bands and DJs, encompassing more than 20 acts per day.
Saturday's lineup includes headliners The Police (in their only area appearance), Beastie Boys, Ben Harper, Modest Mouse, Amy Winehouse and Sasha & John Digweed, while Sunday's bill features headliners Smashing Pumpkins (in their only announced U.S. festival date), 311, Wu-Tang Clan, Interpol, Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Deep Dish. Additional acts for the second day will be announced soon.
The 140-acre Pimlico Race Course site is located within a few hours of numerous major metropolitan areas, including Washington D.C., Philadelphia and New York City.
Single-day tickets are available for $97.50 for general admission and $250 for single-day VIP. Additionally, two-day passes are available at $175 for general admission and $450 for VIP. Tickets are available through Ticketmaster (www.ticketmaster.com or 1-800-551-SEAT). A charity donation of $1.50 per day will be applied to each ticket.
