ULTRASONE RELEASES LIMITED EDITION HIGH-END HEADPHONES

Oct 10, 2006 3:13 PM

At the 2006 AES show in San Francisco Oct. 6-8, Ultrasone showed for the first time its new Edition 9 headphones. The $1,500 Edition 9 headphones utilize Ultrasone's finest titanium-plated drivers to deliver sonic clarity and transparency. A unique design features black chrome in both the ear cups and nameplates, as well as Ethiopian sheep leather in the ear pads and headband pad for comfort. The headphones come in a sleek metal attache case for storage and transportation.

As with all of its headphones, Ultrasone incorporated S-Logic technology into the Edition 9 headphones, which reduces sound pressure to the eardrums by 40 percent, while delivering the listener a natural surround-sound effect. Also, the headphones reduce electromagnetic field radiation, commonly associated with cell phone use, by up to 98 percent. The limited-edition headphones have a closed-back design, a frequency range of 8 Hz-35 kHz and impedance of 30 ohms.
