With all of the 10-gallon hats and BBQ, Remix was as surprised as anyone at this year's Summer NAMM show to see a surprising wealth of DJ and VJ products: Numark showed off an impressive array of items, including the AVM01 audio/video mixer with source-switching, crossfader and effects; the VM03 triple-LCD display; and the DVD01, a DJ-style dual-DVD player. Korg debuted the Krossfour — a four-source video mixer/source switcher with a DJ-inspired crossfader and advanced Luma-key and Chroma-key (blue screen) compositing effects. Ultrasone announced a new DJ version of its acclaimed HFI-550 headphones. Finally, Vestax brought out the new PMC-05ProSL — a 2-channel DJ mixer with sampling and delay — and the CDX-05 CD/MP3 player, which offers realistic scratching and a classic vinyl feel.
