THE ROAMING HOTEL

Sep 1, 2004 12:00 PM

There's nothing like learning about music production and performance straight from the source: the producers, artists and DJs you admire. Inside the pages of Remix, you only get a two-dimensional experience. But from June 25 — 27, the fourth — and always free — Remix Hotel event, again at the SAE Institute of Technology in New York City, provided the opportunity for things to get interactive.

Remix Hotel Technology Partners Apple, Digidesign, Rane, Serato, Vestax, Mackie, Steinberg, Pioneer, M-Audio, Propellerhead, Ableton, Event, Cakewalk, Denon and more set up shop in various rooms at SAE, preaching the gospel of their wares and showing a revolving door of 3,000 registered participants demos of their products. Meanwhile, the Wonder Twinz from Sirius radio entertained the wanderers.
