PRIMEDIA’S REMIX PARTNERS WITH DIESEL CLOTHING FOR

DIESEL-U-MUSIC AWARDS 2003

Emeryville, CA— September 30, 2002— PRIMEDIA’s Remix, the only magazine focusing on the technology behind the dance music market, announced today its partnership with DIESEL clothing and U-Music in its annual underground music awards program.

Remix has teamed up with the Diesel-U-Music competition by sponsoring the “Best Production” category with co-sponsors Digidesign and Transmat Records. This is the most prestigious new music search in the U.S., recruiting unsigned, unrecognized, underground musicians in various categories, creating a window of opportunity at a grass roots level for musicians, producers and DJs who are obsessive about music.

Bridget Russo, Director of PR with the Diesel U-music notes, "It isn't often you find competitive music publications and record labels coming together for the same cause.  With the Diesel-U-Music Awards, we are creating a strong alliance to support underground music at its roots.  We are counting on Remix's expertise in the judging of our category for Best Production."

The Diesel-U-Music competition launches in October 2002. Applications are being accepted now at www.diesel-u-music.com. In April 2003 winners will be brought to New York to perform their winning tracks on stage along side some of the biggest names in the U.S. underground music scene at the Diesel-U-Music awards 2003.
