Pacemaker Aims to Win the Hearts of Travelin' DJs

Jan 8, 2008 7:07 PM

Swedish tech company Tonium Laboratories has announced the release of Pacemaker, which they're claiming is the world's first professional pocket-size DJ system, designed with the aim of bringing people closer to their music and allowing them to creatively interact with their whole music collection. Pacemaker's 120 GB hard drive will enable users to carry their music in their pocket and more. Pacemaker's software will allow the creation of beat matching and seamless mixing, with two tracks able to be played simultaneously. Pacemaker's goal is to function like a full professional DJ setup in a tiny package. All you have to do is plug into the nearest sound system. You can also plan ahead by using the Pacemaker Editor (a free downloadable PC/Mac app) that allows you to create and upload/download mixes.
