MixMeister Announces DJ Scratch Tool for iPod and iPhone

Mar 12, 2008 6:33 PM

MixMeister has announced MixMeister Scratch, the first DJ scratch tool for Apple's iPod Touch and iPhone. Functioning in a different fashion from regular iPod music playback, MixMeister Scratch lets users perform a scratch anywhere, anytime—even right on top of any song in their iPod Touch or iPhone.

Users choose from a list of included vinyl scratch sounds and start scratching. They can scratch on top of their favorite tracks by selecting music to play from their iPod or iPhone. Then they can load MixMeister Scratch while the music plays, adjusting the volume of the music in real time using the touch interface.

Additional info on MixMeister Scratch, "The DJ Machine"—which is set to be a free download online—can be scratched, er, snagged at www.mixmeister.com/scratch.
