KRS-One Constructs a New Collaborative Album in L.A.

Feb 25, 2008 6:38 PM

Hip-hop artist/activist KRS-One brought some of the industry's most respected artists together during Grammy week for three days of recording sessions at The Los Angeles Recording School. In the name of his newly revitalized nonprofit organization (Stop the Violence Movement), KRS-One invited a variety of talent to contribute to his upcoming release, Self Construction.

Along with KRS-One, 59 of hip-hop's finest stars stopped by the school's SSL 4000 studio to donate their creativity and time in the spirit of community and urgency in the fight against violence. Some of the artists that recorded at the school included Nelly, The Game, David Banner and Chamillionaire. BET's Rap City and iTunes were on hand to capture the historic gathering, while LARS graduates and faculty assisted in engineering the project.
