Jan. 12-28: Howard Who? Wouldn't You Like to Know
Dec 11, 2007 10:19 PM
Back when many of us were
mere babes, a synthesizer guru named Howard Jones released his first song,
appropriately titled "New Song," in the UK. The newbie's new song
reached No. 3 on the UK charts. Then, the second single arrived, "What Is
Love?" and it became an '80s anthem, one that would eventually be included
on just about every retro We Love the '80s! compilation CD out there today. So
what happened to Mr. Jones? Well, he kept making music—around a dozen albums in
all—and is still creating electronic and acoustic tunes. He's back on the tour
trail, too, as evidenced by the dates below, and is reportedly "quite
impressive" live, so catch him while you can; not that he shows any signs
of stopping any time soon.
