Record a Song, Win a Record Contract

Jan 14, 2008 5:01 PM

Gather.com and Decca Label Group are inviting musicians of all genres to Tainted Blue (formerly the Quad Penthouse) Studios, the legendary facility that has recorded the likes of U2, Paul McCartney and Madonna. Why? Well, it's your chance to record a single that will enter you into First Tracks: The Search for America's Best Musical Talent.

You'll have to make tracks (heh) to the studio itself on Jan. 23 between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., but once you get in—if you're lucky enough to do so—you'll get access to a plethora of percussion instruments, guitars, a Steinway Concert Grand piano and mics; if you've got any other instruments necessary to your particular sound, you've gotta bring 'em yourself. You'll also need to prepare an acoustic arrangement of your track, and you'll want to click here to get all the pertinent details.

The top entry will win a major label deal with Decca.
