Galbanum Introduces Huge New Wavetable Collections for Software Synths
Dec 12, 2006 6:24 PM
Galbanum, distributors of Metasynth, has released a new massive collection of wavetables to be used as sound generators in software synthesizers such as MetaSynth, Native Instruments Absynth and any other softsynth or sampler that can import wavetables.
This collection is available now in three forms: Architecture NI Waveforms 2 ($24.95) comes with GLY files for NI Absynth; Architecture MS Waveforms ($24.95) comes with MetaSynth wave files; and Architecture Universal Waveforms ($29.95) comes with standard WAV files. Owners of previous Architecture collections can upgrade to get more than 800 new waveforms for $9.95.
Wavetables are single cycle periodic waveforms that act as sound generators, like the oscillator of a classic analog synth, but with infinitely more variability in shape and spectrum. The wavetables in this collection are logically categorized, and in addition to just being oscillators, they can also function as LFO shapes, envelope shapes, modulation shapes, distortion curves and much more, depending on the synth or sampler they're used with.
