James Murphy and Tim Goldsworthy, aka the DFA, are back with a new collection of remixes featuring their take on an wide array of artists, from the superindie to the superplatinum. To celebrate, they're bringing their punk-rock disco party to a city near you. Each date features some combination of James Murphy, Tim Sweeney, Marcus Lambkin (Shit Robot), and Juan Maclean (detailed below).
Like the recently released DFA Remixes Chapter One, the forthcoming DFA Remixes Chapter 2 (Oct. 3 from Astralwerks) features signature mixes by the DFA team of their favorite artists. James and Tim lend their touch to tracks from Goldfrapp, N.E.R.D., Nine Inch Nails, Tiga, Unkle, Chromeo, Hot Chip and Junior Seniormany of these mixes are available for the first time commercially. The vinyl issue of the album will also feature rare instrumental versions. These two chapters together provide the entire DFA remix compendium to date, coinciding with the 5th anniversary of the DFA label this month.
