Def Mix Picks Pacha for Party (Say That Three Times Fast)

Oct 10, 2007 12:06 PM

New York record label Def Mix has chosen NYC club Pacha New York to celebrate its 20th Anniversary party and will release a triple-disc mixed album commemorating 20 years in conjunction with the special event. The party is set for Saturday, Oct. 13, with doors opening at 10 p.m. and advance tix $20.

Def Mix DJs have played at virtually every hot spot in the world, while the three flagship DJ/producer/artists have worked in all genres of music over the past 20 years. Their work has assisted in creating club and street versions of pop radio hits for such artists as Mariah Carey, Janet Jackson, Sting, Ice T, Madonna, Backstreet Boys, Bjork, U2, Gloria Estefan, Seal, Kylie Minogue, Julio, Iglesias, Shaba Ranks, Maxi Priest, Kelli Ali, Whitney Houston, Eric Clapton, Enrique Iglesias, Sarah McLachlan and Kelis.

The album, Best of Def Mix, is set to hit stores on Oct. 22, and will include many of Def Mix Productions' singles and remixes, including exclusive previously unreleased tracks from the Def Mix camp. This will be the first time the remix of Mariah Carey's "Heartbreaker" and U2's "Lemon" have been included on any compilation.
