Apr 29, 2008 1:38 PM

Cycling ' 74 has released Version 5.0 of its Max/MSP media development tools. This version is said to offer a completely redesigned multiprocessing kernel and a streamlined development environment built on a platform-independent foundation. With a new patcher interface, searchable database of objects and examples, integrated documentation and new tutorials, the aim is to offer the new Max user a smoother learning curve while giving experienced users improved productivity.

These improvements to the Max/MSP/Jitter bundle are available for MSRP $699; Max/MSP costs $495, with academic discounts available for both. Customers who purchased Max/MSP or Max/MSP/Jitter after Oct. 1, 2007 are eligible for a free upgrade. Get the Max at www.cycling74.com.
