Aceyalone's latest release may just be his most daring recording of the decade.
This exclusive collaboration with dancehall/reggae producer Bionik features an
energized trek through Caribbean and other foreign riddims. While this album is
not without its flaws (see the borderline cornball cut "Genie"), Acey
hasn't sounded so excited in years. Bionik is largely to thank for the
inspiration here as he treats the MC to pop-worthy dancehall
("Easy"), smoked-out dub ("Supercool") and meditative
tribal rhythms ("Jungle Muzik"). Now can we get an encore?
