Beatport.com Launches Beatsource.com; Read on to Find Out the Difference

Beatport has announced the
upcoming launch of Beatsource.com, the first-look online music store for urban
music fans and DJs. Set to launch this winter, the online site will be modeled
after Beatport's success in the electronic music marketplace. Beatsource will
provide shoppers with access to high-quality, legal music downloads, with a
focus on premium urban and hip-hop music content. The catalog will be built of
music from both high-profile domestic labels and smaller international
trend-setting labels. Track prices will range from $1.49 to $2.49 based on the
music's exclusivity and release date.
Beatsource will provide
secure and legal downloads of urban music in various formats including 320 Kbps
MP3s, 192 Kbps MP4s and uncompressed WAV files on a pay-per-download basis.
Beatsource, catering to the performer, will also sell DJ-friendly a cappellas,
instrumentals, clean mixes, dirty mixes and other hard-to-find remixes from the
catalog. Music will be filed in various style categories including old school,
current hits, a cappellas, instrumentals, underground, international and others
to help the most educated shopper or novice easily find what they are looking
for.
