RNDigital Offers Up D1 Plug-in

Apr 29, 2008 1:41 PM

A graphic dynamics processor based on RNDigital's Dynam-izer Zone Audio Level technology, the D1 plug-in was developed to make RNDigital's revolutionary dynamics control technology more intuitive. The graphic elements of the GUI now represent the signal flow from left to right to reportedly help users to better grasp the concept and abilities of the Dynam-izer.

Called the "Cessna of Zone based Dynamic Processing," with the Dynam-izer being seen as the highly advanced tactical fighter, D1 is however not a light version of Dynam-izer, but has all the functions required to perform most day-to-day dynamics-control tasks. If further options are needed, presets saved by D1 can be imported into Dynam-izer. A new Zone Gain Control concept has also been introduced into the program to control what happens with audio levels "outside" of the level zone defined by D1, in many cases eliminating the need for makeup gain and/or gating.
