The 6th Annual Club World Awards Announces Nominees

The 2008 nominees have
been announced for this year's Club World Awards—which will take place on March
26 in South Beach, Miami—to once again celebrate excellence in North American
nightlife. Six new categories have been added to the event, including three new
People's Choice categories, and clubbers will once again be invited to vote for
their favorite local venue in the Nightstalker Award category, a staple of the
CWA since its inception. Voting is being hosted on Partystrands.com and is
currently live through March 3.
The Club World Awards
ceremony always draws big names from the nightlife-loving community, including
Kelly Osbourne, Ferry Corsten, James Zabiela and plenty of others. Among this
year's DJ nominees are Boris (from Pacha, NY); DJ Vice (from LAX, Las Vegas);
Kaskade (from Smart Bar, Chicago); Louie Vega (from Cielo, NY); and Richie
Santana (from Deko Lounge, Sayreville, NJ). And in the Best Club category are
Columbus, Ohio's BoMA; New York's Cielo; Las Vegas' Jet; New York's Marquee;
and Chicago's Smart Bar.
