REMIXING FOR DUMMIES

Nov 1, 2007 12:00 PM

The world's not hurting for remixing contests, but London's U-MYX (www.u-myx.com) is making waves by allowing users to make their own versions of tracks without having to be a studio gearhead. Past artists in the mix included Lily Allen, Imogen Heap, Depeche Mode, Klaxons, Rihanna and the Secret Handshake, whose “Summer of '98” track recently got all kinds of reworking through U-MYX's player. At press time, David Guetta, Chromeo, Bloc Party and Yung Joc were up to bat. Check it out for chances to win all kinds of gear in exchange for your hard playtime, er, work.
