Steve “Silk” Hurley and Shannon “DJ Skip” Syas are not keen to let anyone forget where house music came from. In conjunction with S&S Records, they're releasing a two-CD, two-DVD set called The Chicago LP (2007). Hear tracks from Jesse Saunders, Roy Davis Jr., Terry Hunter, Maurice Joshua, Syleena Johnson, DJ Pierre, Hurley and more; then check out the DVDs for interviews, live sets and the story of paraplegic producer/DJ, Paul Johnson. LP is a well-made, albeit long-winded historic tale of Chicago house legends.
