Manifesto: “Since the label's inception, we've stuck to the original plan: We get our hands on something we find especially sweet and particularly spicy, then we deliver the morsels for your consumption in gorgeous wrappers,” says Brian Foote, label manager and co-owner. “All the vinyl is white wax. All the CDs are housed in matte digipaks. All artwork is designed by label founder, David Nakamoto.”
A&R Philosophy: “We're suckers for a good cover song or anything you can make out to,” says Foote. “We intentionally try to keep a diverse but balanced lineup of releases that truly reflect our listening habits, be it quiet pop, house music or ambient noise. We listen to all demos we receive but also are unafraid to approach an artist ourselves if we love their work.”
Upcoming: Magwheels full-length, Nudge EP, Tim Hecker 10-inch
