Like most Electro-Harmonix pedals, the new Cathedral ($214.50) stereo reverb is just as at home as a studio reverb as it is on the floor getting stomped.

Packing high-resolution 24-bit converters on the true stereo inputs and outputs, as well as the highest-quality circuitry and components throughout, Cathedral carries eight flexible reverb models. Carefully chosen to be extremely playable, several models were culled from E-H's successful Holy Grail series.

Users can shape each preset with the Pre-Delay, Feedback, Damping/Tone, Reverb Time and Blend (Wet/Dry) knobs. Once set, each model can be saved along with its current knob settings for immediate recall—great for keeping your favorite version of each type ready to go. You can set the Pre-Delay time (up to two seconds) manually using the Tap Tempo button; holding down the Tap Tempo button enables a cool endless-reverb effect.

A quality reverb can be the subtle, subliminal difference between good and great tone, onstage or off. Whether you're looking for standard studio reverbs or wild stage-effects verb, the Cathedral is ready to help you open up your sonic space.
