Erykah Badu Remix Contest

Universal/Motown multi-Platinum-selling, Grammy Award–winning singer/songwriter/actress Erykah Badu returns to the music limelight with her new album, New Amerykah. In supporting the music being in the forefront, Erykah Badu is holding a contest to have producers remix her non-album, Madlib-produced buzz track "Real Thang." DJs, producers/beat-makers and musicians can download the a cappella of "Real Thang" and remix the song. The person who produces the grand-prize remix will win a DJ package from Stanton and professional KRK studio monitors, become a member of th 1200Squad.com, have the remix blasted out to all of the 1200Squad radio/mix show/mix tape DJs, have the remix featured on The Cornerstone Mixtape and Suite 903, win a subscription to Remix magazine and a VIP pass to an upcoming Remix Hotel, and have your remix featured on Badu's Myspace page, on Okayplayer and on Fusicology; two runner ups will also be selected.
