CD PROJECT CONNECTS KIDS IN IRAQ & U.S.

Well Wishes and Blessings—a CD collection of words, songs and raps of children and teens living throughout the U.S.—aims to bridge children across the world in an expression of good will and common wishes for peace.
Created by Grammy-listed composer and musician Ruth Mendelson, the CD interweaves kids' spoken words with their onsite musical contributions, from traditional Sanskrit chant and African-American gospel to rap music offered by teens and original songs created by 5-year-olds. Distribution for the CD through educational and humanitarian channels is being planned, with translations of the material provided. The hope is that ultimately there will be an opportunity for the kids in Iraq to record and send messages back for children in the U.S.
