MARCH 19-APRIL 18: THE TWILIGHT SAD U.S. TOUR DATES
Feb 20, 2007 2:13 PM
Glaswegian quartet The Twilight Sad is looking to expand upon last fall's clutch of well-received U.S. shows in the coming months with appearances at several FatCat Records events and a full U.S. tour, including dates with Mary Timony and Aerogramme.
The Twilight Sad comprises James Graham (vocals), Andy MacFarlane, (guitar/accordion/noise), Craig Orzel (bass) and Mark Devine (drums). Forming in late 2003, the band played their first Glasgow shows free-form, creating half-hour pieces of music with guitars, bass, drums, theremin, tape loops from films and old folk and country songs, effects pedals, toy keyboards, thumb pianos, computer games and various other ephemera. Subsequently, they withdrew to the studio to refine their sound, undergoing a gradual metamorphosis into a more traditional, but still sonically adventurous, outfit, with an overt inclination towards emotive, eloquent songcraft.
