REBELS WITHOUT A PAUSE: PUBLIC ENEMY GET REMIXED

Jul 24, 2007 6:46 PM

In a nifty collaboration that brings together Ultra Records, Public Enemy's publisher Reach Global and Public Enemy themselves, a new electronica/dance remix project of Public Enemy songs has begun, with the first set of remixes set to arrive on Aug. 21, 2007, complete with contributions from the likes of Benny Benassi, Don Diablo and Ferry Corsten. PE has been sampled over the years by the likes of Moby, The Prodigy, Tricky, DJ Spooky and many other spinmasters, so it will be interesting to see how the group's songs are interpreted this time 'round, now that the focus is solely on Public Enemy themselves.
