July 13-15: Pitchfork Music Festival in Chicago Announces First Acts

Pitchfork has announces the first round of acts for the 2007 Pitchfork Music Festival.

The festival, which will take place in Chcago's Union Park, has been expanded to three days, opening Friday, July 13 to present the North American premiere of All Tomorrow's Parties' "Don't Look Back" series. For the unfamiliar, ATP and Don't Look Back invite music legends to perform their seminal albums live—in their entireties. Pitchfork isn't ready to reveal that night's performers, so stay tuned for more information.

The festival continues Saturday, July 14, and Sunday, July 15. Below is the first round of artists announced, with many more to be announced soon.

Clipse
Of Montreal
Iron and Wine
Girl Talk
Jamie Lidell
Grizzly Bear
Professor Murder
Ken Vandermark's Powerhouse Sound

Tickets for the event are on sale today, March 12, via Ticketweb. A Saturday/Sunday pass runs $35, while Saturday or Sunday individual passes go for $25. Friday's pass is only $15, and for the truly adventurous, act fast to score one of an extremely limited number of three-day passes for a measly $45.
