MAY 30-JUNE 3: MUTEK FESTIVAL IN MONTREAL

From May 30 to June 3, the MUTEK festival will take over Montreal for its eighth consecutive year and shake the foundations of the downtown core with the rhythmic undercurrents of electronic music and mutations in digital creativity. A headline event highly respected within the international scene, Mutek has the distinguished pleasure of kick-starting a festival season in Montreal filled with great events. More than 100 artists will converge upon Montreal from four corners of the world to stimulate and astonish audiences with their artistic talents and aesthetic inspiration. Prepare yourself for five days of adventure and discovery, with numerous headliners (including Rhythm & Sound, Michael Mayer, Matthew Dear, Gui Boratto, My My, Heartthrob, the Wighnomy Brothers, to name a few), emerging artists and more than 80 indoor and outdoor performances (28 of which are Canadian or North American premieres).
Mutek 2007 will take place in five venues in downtown Montreal: Ex-Centris, the Society for Arts and Technology (SAT), the Metropolis, the Hotel Godin and Parc Jean-Drapeau. Tickets and packages for the events are available now from www.mutek.ca and through the Admissions network.
