JAN. 24–FEB. 23: BUSDRIVER TOUR DATES

Dec 18, 2006 6:09 PM

Los Angeles–based Busdriver will launch his 2007 tour initiative on Jan. 24 at his hometown's El Rey Theatre. In celebration of RoadKillOvercoat, his fifth solo album and first for the Anti- label, BD will also perform promotional shows in New York, Chicago and San Francisco in the week leading up to the disc's Jan. 30 release. He will then resume roadwork when a tour of the South gets underway on Feb. 16 in Jacksonville, Fla.

On the heels of his club-banging single "Kill Your Employer (Recreational Paranoia Is the Sport of Now)," which was released in October, the man born Regan Faquhar upholds his reputation as a chop maestro and style monster on his new disc. RoadKillOvercoat was produced by L.A.'s own beat champion DJ Nobody (Plug Research, Ubiquity) and multi-instrumentalist/programming whiz, Boom-Bip (Lex).
