Manifesto: “ATP Recordings is about creating a document of great music,” says Deborah Kee Higgins, director of ATP Concerts Ltd. “We release records only by artists we believe in and absolutely love. They can be any style, but they have to inspire us.”

A&R Philosophy: “We release music that we like!” Higgins exclaims. “Sorry, as I guess every label does that, but for us that is the only criteria. Our catalog is completely eclectic, so there are no hard-and-fast rules. We accept links to music, like from MySpace, through the contact section of our site. We get many of those, so make sure you write something interesting to pique our interest and make us want to listen to your page.”

Upcoming: “Towards the end of 2007, ATP announced plans to release a new series of double 7-inch singles called Custom Made,” Higgins says. “They feature bands choosing four songs: something old, from an old album; something new, from the latest album; something borrowed, a cover version; and something blue, where artists are free to interpret that as they feel. The first band to release singles in this series was Australia's The Drones, and the next one from Alexander Tucker should be out this spring. We'll also see releases from Apse and Alexander Tucker's band Portal this year, as well as a Fuck Buttons tour.”
